Featuring some of traditional karate's most famous lightkeepers:
The way of the empty hand, Karate-do, has often been likened to a journey up a mountain. But, while there are many paths that lead to the top of the mountain, there is only one moon to be seen for those who achieve its summit. So I asked myself; what exactly does that "moon" consist of? What is the "aim" of karate? Self-fulfillment? Shiny trophies? The answers were as many as they were diverse.
With these progressive thoughts in mind, The Karate Code was conceived, tracking down some of the world's most venerated grandmasters left in the forgotten field of classical karate. The mission? To find out what they thought. And if you ask me, there has probably never been a more long needed book in the modern world of karate than The Karate Code. Believe me... you'll see.
